Actor Sebastian Stan’s aspirations for perfect fatherhood has hit challenges. The Marvel star reflected upon the fact that he had to go back to work, leaving his wife, Annabelle Wallis, and his first child behind.

Stan opened up about balancing his new fatherhood with work even as he promoted his upcoming film, “Fjord”. According to Vulture, the actor revealed that he had to travel to London for work, shortly after his wife gave birth to their first child this summer.
He reflected on how fatherhood had completely changed how he viewed responsibility. “You feel like everything you’re doing is now maximized and has major implications and consequences,” Stan said. “Having had a baby and then having to get on a plane to go back to work felt like I was ruining their life.”
The actor and Wallis, who have been together since 2022, welcomed their first child in August. While the couple kept the details under wraps, the actor has now got a completely new view about life.
“This is the first time he’s spoken publicly about his child,” Vulture noted. He added that his desire to have a child was “a big part of my interest in the film” Fjord. The latter revolves around family dynamics and parenthood.
The situation at home was complex since Wallis and their baby stayed back in New York while he worked abroad. To balance things, the actor said that he flies home whenever possible. “I feel kind of schizophrenic,” Stan admitted. “I’ve always been all or nothing with work. I don’t know how else to do it. But now I am forced to have one foot in one world and one foot in the other.”
The 44-year-old admitted that fatherhood has given him enough food for thought and reflection. “Thoughts about what makes a good parent are very alive in me,” he said. He explained that this new experience had opened new dimensions about responsibility, family, and the example he wants to set for his child.
