Tom Brady calls out ‘clickbait’ criticism of his Fox Sports broadcasting career

After retiring from the NFL, the GOAT chose a career in broadcasting with Fox, a move that has drawn plenty of attention. Now, with Season 3 approaching, Tom Brady is addressing the criticism he has faced during his first two seasons.

Brady said, “It’s clickbait for people, and it’s something that people have no idea what they’re really glomming onto.”

“They just put it out there in the world and see what sticks. So to me, I just focus on what I need to do to be prepared. That’s what I did as a player, and I go out there every week as a broadcaster and try to do the same thing.” He added.

During an interview with Sports Business Journal, TB12 also revealed that he still has “a lot to prove.” Moreover, he remains focused on proving himself in his new role.

Brady said, “I have a lot to prove to myself, to my teammates. I have a lot to prove to the executives. I want to go earn it, and I don’t want anything given to me. I hope they’ll have me through the end of this contract. I love getting to enjoy the game. I love watching good football.”

Tom Brady announced his final retirement from the NFL on February 1, 2023. Later, he made his official on-air debut as an NFL analyst for Fox in September 2024. However, before that, he had already signed his contract with Fox in May 2022, months before announcing his retirement.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox, of which he has now completed two full years.
