Sam Smith’s album “Hazel Eyes” has failed to make an impression on the music charts.

Sam Smith’s Hazel Eyes misses the Billboard 200 after selling 6,500 units
According to The Sun, Sam Smith’s fifth album “Hazel Eyes” has failed to make a killing. Reportedly, it failed to enter the Billboard 200. Unlike their previous albums, this one managed to sell only 6,500 units in the U.S.
“Hazel Eyes” came in at 21 in the UK and even earned a spot in the top 50 in Australia, Germany and the Netherlands. However, its performance in America left much to be desired. The singer-songwriter’s earlier hits include “ In The Lonely Hour”, which hit the number 2 spot. Additionally, “The Thrill of It All” made it to the top position.
“Love Goes” made it to number five, while “Gloria,” released in 2023, charted at number seven in the U.S. The Hazel Eyes track “Oh Mother” was inspired by Smith’s friendship with Madonna. The two have been close for years and collaborated on the single “Vulgar.” Their collaboration came a year after Smith topped the charts with Kim Petras on “Unholy.”
Smith has previously praised Madonna. They said, “M is an amazing artist. She just came to my aid so beautifully around the Unholy time, and I just have so many beautiful memories of when we’re in the studio together.”
The singer added, “And because of her support and years prior to that, I’d just been such a huge lover and just so inspired by her music, her art, but also her staying power.”
They continued, “She goes through so much s***. You just look at the comments on anything related to Madonna, and people are so cruel to her, but she sticks around, she stays, and she’s so strong.”
Apart from their music career, Smith is engaged to designer Christian Cowan.
