Bebe Rexha Hits Back at ‘Straight Men’ Over Comments About Weight Gain

Bebe Rexha pushed back against online commentary about her body while discussing recent changes to her appearance.

The singer addressed her breasts, clothing choices and Bebe Rexha weight gain in several posts on X. She also responded to a follower who asked whether her PCOS contributed to her changing weight.

Bebe Rexha gets candid about body changes, online comments and dressing on her own terms

Rexha, 37, first shared her frustration with attention from men in her comment section.

“I don’t know what to do with my boobies. They just got so massive and I hate the straight men in my comments who only come for that but, then again, a girl still wanna dress sexy,” she wrote.

She later suggested that women with curvier bodies often faced harsher judgments for wearing fitted clothing.

“I feel like when girls with curvy bodies wear something tight we automatically look sl***y,” Rexha added.

The conversation then shifted to her recent weight changes. One follower asked whether PCOS had contributed to her weight gain. Rexha replied that the condition played a role, along with “eating too much bread.”

The singer had discussed body hate comments several times before.

In 2023, Rexha acknowledged gaining weight after she noticed “Bebe Rexha weight gain” trending on TikTok.

“Seeing that search bar is so upsetting. I’m not mad cause it’s true. I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what,” she wrote at the time.

Rexha also told Jennifer Hudson that public discussions about her size affected her emotionally.

“You don’t know what somebody’s going through, what they’re going through in their life, so it kind of is tough,” she said. “But I feel like we’re in 2023 … we should not be talking about people’s weight.”

More recently, Rexha faced criticism about her appearance at the American Music Awards. Instead of directly arguing with trolls, she used the attention to promote her album.

When one social media account compared older and newer photos of her, Rexha replied, “My thought is… My new album dirty blonde is out June 12th. Available for pre order now.”

Through her latest Bebe Rexha social media posts, the singer made clear that she still wanted to dress how she liked despite the commentary surrounding her body.
