Donald Trump wields Green Lantern’s power ring in the official White House clip
The White House recently showcased Donald Trump as the DC superhero Green Lantern in a new AI video on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
In the clip, he is seen using the Green Lantern’s power ring to create a border that blocks people. The President also appears to use the ring to create a construct of a manufacturing facility and multiple military aircraft. In the caption, his administration mentioned, “In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might beware my power… Green Lantern’s light!”
The video sparked a hilarious reaction from people on the platform. One user stated, “This really is the cringiest collapse of a nation in real time.” Another user called out Trump for posting AI videos amid the rising gas prices and noted, “You are playing games when Diesel prices are destroying American farms, truckers, businesses, shipping, f****** everything!!!! Quit the f****** games.”
A third user slammed Trump’s administration for being more focused on making AI-generated posts and wrote, “Instead of being a “Real President” focusing on ending the War you started, bringing prices down, You Focus on making “Stupid Low IQ Pathetic AI GENERATED BULL”! No wonder you’ve been named “WORST PRESIDENT in HISTORY”!”
Many users also questioned the person in charge of the White House’s social media handle. The video seems inspired by the ongoing DC show, “Lanterns”, which is based on the DC Comics character, Green Lantern.
