A dead witch may join the massive roster of heroes and villains in the MCU’s next multiversal event, aka Avengers: Secret Wars. New rumors suggest a ghostly return in the 2027 movie, following a recent tease for an upcoming Disney+ series.
Agatha Harkness is rumored to return to MCU after her death in Agatha All Along
Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness might not stay dead for long. Scooper My Time to Shine Hello claimed on X that the character will be in Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel Studios has not confirmed this, but the timing fits the larger narrative.
Agatha died in the finale of Agatha All Along. She sacrificed herself to Death, played by Aubrey Plaza, to save Billy Maximoff. But the death did not stick. She returned as a ghost and became Billy’s spirit guide. The two left together to find Tommy, Billy’s missing brother. This could set up a clear path for her return. If Billy shows up in Avengers: Secret Wars, Agatha likely follows. Leaked concept art from last year reportedly included Wiccan alongside other young heroes. That supports the idea that the Maximoff family arc continues into the event film.
Before that, Agatha may resurface on television. The same scooper claimed Agatha will appear in VisionQuest, the Disney+ series focused on White Vision. The report states she talks to someone off-screen, but viewers won’t see who. The show premieres this October. Tommy Maximoff is confirmed for the series, so a reunion with Billy and Agatha makes sense. Hahn wants to return. At D23, she said, “I mean, I want to. I have no idea, but I sure would love it.”
The Russo brothers direct both Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026. Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027. The films face high expectations after massive delays. Bringing back popular characters like Agatha could help unify the multiverse storyline.
