According to industry insider James Mackwl, Benedict Wong will reportedly reprise his role as Wong in Avengers: Doomsday. The report shared on Patreon claims the Sorcerer Supreme will step back into action during the film’s final act. If the rumor turns out to be true, his appearance marks the character’s major theatrical role after Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness in 2022.
Wong has evolved into one of the most reliable recurring figures across the Marvel Cinematic Universe since debuting in 2016’s Doctor Strange. He subsequently appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, alongside a guest stint in Disney+’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
