According to Heatworld, Meghan Markle supported Prince Harry’s desire to return to the UK on specific terms. She agreed to the relocation on the understanding that the move would also work for her and their family. The report claimed Harry spent months preparing for the relocation and reassuring Meghan about her concerns.
An insider alleged that Meghan expects Harry to ensure she does not feel isolated or restricted again. They said, “Meghan’s message to Harry has basically been, ‘If you want me to do this, then you have to make it work for me, too.'” The source further claimed Harry promised there would be clear boundaries with the royal family and that palace life would not dictate their day-to-day decisions.
The report came after Harry and Meghan recently returned to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. King Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly hosted them during their visit. However, reports have suggested that Prince William is not currently planning to reconnect with the Sussexes.
As per the insider, Meghan is prepared to return to the US if she becomes unhappy living in Britain. “If Meghan becomes unhappy and it doesn’t work, she’ll go back to America and take the kids.” The source added that such a decision could force the couple into a long-distance marriage if Harry chose to remain in the UK.
Heatworld also claimed security was a major factor in Meghan’s decision to relocate. According to the insider, Harry worked closely with officials to ensure his family would receive appropriate protection before making the move.
The source further alleged that Harry gave Meghan personal assurances before moving. He promised their return would not mean repeating the circumstances that led them to step back from royal duties in 2020. Thus, he reportedly remains determined to make their new life in Britain work for the entire family.
