Kim Kardashian attended the 8th Annual This Is About Humanity Soiree in Hollywood on August 29. According to Just Jared, she joined her longtime friend Zoe Winkler Reinis and Zoe’s father, Henry Winkler, at the fundraising event.
During the evening’s fundraising segment, Kardashian reportedly raised her paddle to donate $50,000. The contribution will support This Is About Humanity, an organization that helps separated and reunified families and children at the U.S.-Mexico border. Founded in 2018 by Elsa Marie Collins, Yolanda Selene Walther-Meade, and Zoe Winkler Reinis, the nonprofit provides families with essential resources. Its work includes legal assistance, mental health services, community programs, and access to everyday necessities.
The event also honored actor Wilmer Valderrama for his longtime support of the organization. He attended the soiree with his partner, Amanda Pacheco, and their daughter. During his speech, Valderrama highlighted the importance of helping vulnerable families. He said people need support when they face challenges such as family separation, food insecurity, or legal issues.
According to the publication, proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit This Is About Humanity’s fund at the International Community Foundation. The money will also support programs run with the Immigrant Defenders Law Center and the organization’s food relief kitchen at the border.
