Sharon Osbourne is standing firmly behind longtime friend Marilyn Manson. The TV personality defended the controversial rocker while discussing the abuse and sexual assault allegations that have followed him for years. Osbourne made clear that criticism will not change their friendship. However, her comments come as Manson continues to face an unresolved civil lawsuit.

During an episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Osbourne praised Marilyn Manson as an artist before addressing the accusations against him. “I don’t think that he did what they said,” she told son Jack Osbourne. Sharon then added, “He’s a friend and always will be.”
She also argued that there are “two sides to every story.” During the discussion, Sharon recalled personally witnessing an encounter involving Manson and one woman who later pursued legal action against him.
Her comments add another chapter to the long-running Marilyn Manson allegations controversy. Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, has denied allegations of sexual assault and abuse made by multiple women.
Among his accusers is Evan Rachel Wood, who has publicly accused her former fiancé of abuse. Wood recently discussed those allegations again while reflecting on how Westworld helped her process the relationship.
Los Angeles County prosecutors declined to file criminal charges against Manson in January 2025. The district attorney said domestic violence allegations fell outside the statute of limitations. Prosecutors also said they could not prove sexual assault charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
That decision did not resolve every legal dispute involving Manson. Former assistant Ashley Walters’ civil lawsuit remains active and is currently headed toward a 2027 jury trial.
Still, Sharon appears unmoved by the controversy. Her comments on The Osbournes Podcast made her personal position clear, even as the broader legal and public debate around Manson continues.
