2 M. Night Shyamalan Superhero Blockbusters & More Peacock Releases This Week

This week’s Peacock releases feature two superhero blockbusters from M. Night Shyamalan, plus much more.

Dropping on September 1, the 2016 psychological thriller Split centers on Kevin Wendell Crumb, portrayed by James McAvoy in a powerful performance as a man living with 23 different personalities. He kidnaps three teenage girls and confines them in an underground bunker.

The group is led by Casey Cooke, an introspective outsider played by Anya Taylor-Joy, along with her friends Claire (Haley Lu Richardson) and Marcia (Jessica Sula). As the girls fight to escape, Kevin’s psychiatrist, Dr. Karen Fletcher (Betty Buckley), begins to sense turmoil within him and the rise of a terrifying 24th personality known as The Beast.

Joining Split on the same day is its 2019 sequel, Glass. The psychological superhero thriller, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, unites characters from Unbreakable and Split inside a high-security psychiatric facility.

Also arriving among Peacock’s releases this week on September 1 is the Twilight saga, including New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2. Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of London will wrap Season 1 with its finale airing September 2 on Peacock via Bravo.
