Prince William and Prince Harry’s years-long estrangement is back in the spotlight. Reports indicate Princess Anne has grown increasingly frustrated with the ongoing family divide. According to a new insider claim, the Princess Royal believes the brothers’ feud has dragged on for far too long. She also feels the ongoing rift is damaging the monarchy’s reputation at a difficult time for King Charles.
Princess Anne reportedly sees Prince William as harder to sway than Prince Harry
An insider told Closer that Princess Anne believes responsibility for the royal rift does not rest solely with either the Sussexes or the Waleses. Instead, she reportedly feels that everyone involved shares some of the blame.
“Anne says everybody in this situation shares some of the blame, not just the Sussexes and not just the Waleses, and in her view they all need to be brought into line and told that this nonsense has gone on far too long,” the source claimed.
The insider added that Anne is especially concerned about the impact the feud is having on the Royal Family. Meanwhile, King Charles continues his cancer treatment. “The reputational fallout the entire family is suffering because of this immaturity is simply unacceptable, especially when the King is still ill, and he’s repeatedly asked both of his sons to find a way through this,” the source said.
According to the report, Anne believes both William and Harry should focus on supporting their father instead of allowing old disagreements to continue. The insider added, “In her view, for two grown men to be fighting, sulking and getting bent out of shape over every little thing when they should be treasuring every moment they have left with their father, and showing him proper respect is appalling.”
The report also claims Anne has been encouraging William to consider how the ongoing conflict could affect King Charles’ legacy. The source suggests Harry appears more willing to repair family ties. However, Princess Anne is reportedly not excusing either brother and wants both to move beyond their years-long dispute.
