Author suggests Prince Harry’s apology to the Royal Family amid his UK return might not come
A royal commentator has claimed that Prince Harry still has to make amends to Queen Camilla following his stinging attacks in Spare. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be landing in the UK with their children in the coming days. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will reportedly join schools in Britain for the new term next month.
Having relocated to the US in 2020, the couple allegedly informed King Charles of their visit just three days before the news went public. Sources close to the situation have suggested that the homecoming could open the door for reconciliation.
Now, speculation has centered on whether Harry may offer an apology to his stepmother, Camilla, in an effort to mend ties. Royal author Robert Jobson believes that “there is a debt outstanding first” after Harry “slammed” the Queen Consort in his 2023 memoir. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said, “He wrote that she had ‘sacrificed’ him ‘on her personal PR altar.’ Camilla kept quiet. The debt to his brother has not been paid either.”
Talking about his stepmother in Spare, the King’s youngest son described Camilla as “dangerous” and “evil.” He also revealed that he and Prince William had jointly tried to convince their father not to marry her. Questions, however, still hang over Harry and Markle’s reunion with the royals and whether they will spend Christmas together.
Jobson claimed that an apology from the Duke to his family is improbable, with the odds being “slim.” Sharing his view on the possibility, the royal commentator noted, “But if the monarchy is going to unite it is essential.”
