Tuc Watkins cast in Brett Goldstein’s Escorted series on Prime Video
Tuc Watkins has secured a heavily recurring role in Escorted, Brett Goldstein’s upcoming Prime Video series, according to Deadline. The actor will portray Neil, a high-end gym trainer who moonlights as a male escort. The character resembles a cowboy and caters to wealthy female clients on the side.
Escorted centers on a divorced father living in Manhattan who stumbles into the male escort profession. Essentially, the romantic comedy series tackles themes of sexual dynamics, hidden truths, and purchased intimacy. The show will run for eight episodes in a single-camera half-hour format.
Meanwhile, Lesley Manville and Leslie Bibb had already boarded the project before Watkins’ casting. Goldstein will star in, write, executive produce, and co-showrun the series. Furthermore, Warner Bros Television produces the show through Goldstein’s existing overall deal with the studio.
Additionally, Brian Gallivan co-showruns and executive produces the series alongside several other producers. Josh Senior, Molly Mandel, Jamie Lee, and Tyson Bidner round out the executive producer roster. Notably, Gallivan previously worked on projects like Shrinking and Happy Endings.
Currently, Watkins holds a recurring part on Hulu’s popular series Paradise. He also featured in the second season of ABC’s Shifting Gears earlier this year. Moreover, his extensive television resume spans HBO Max’s The Other Two, Showtime’s Black Monday, and ABC’s Desperate Housewives.
Beyond that, the actor held series regular spots on Showtime’s Beggars and Choosers and ABC’s One Life to Live. His upcoming projects include a recurring stint on Starz’s S.W.A.T. Exiles. On the film side, he appeared in The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Robert De Niro’s The Good Shepherd.
Watkins recently completed work on an independent film titled Cowboy. Artium Talent and Karen Forman Management handle his representation.
