Alan Ritchson’s Motor City has moved to digital following its theatrical release. This will allow the audience a new opportunity to watch the revenge thriller from home. The film became available to purchase or rent digitally on August 25, 2026. Viewers can purchase or rent the film through Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and other participating retailers. Prices will vary by platform.

The film centers on John Miller, a Detroit factory worker whose relationship with Sophia Hammond puts him in conflict with a powerful criminal figure. After being framed and imprisoned, Miller loses years of his life and is separated from Sophia. His release brings him back to the city with unfinished business, setting him on a path toward revenge.

Set against the backdrop of 1970s Detroit, Motor City follows Miller’s attempt to settle the score after serving his prison sentence. Ritchson leads the cast as John Miller, with Shailene Woodley playing Sophia Hammond. Other cast members include Ben Foster as Reynolds, Pablo Schreiber as Savick, Ben McKenzie as Kent, and Lionel Boyce as Youngblood.

The film received mixed-to-positive responses from critics. Motor City currently holds a 63% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 95 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience score stands at 65 percent.

Motor City struggled during its theatrical run. The reported $30 million production earned approximately $2.93 million worldwide, making its digital release an opportunity for the film to reach a larger audience after its disappointing box office performance.
