Meghan Markle‘s acting career gets a major update after her return to the United Kingdom. Earlier, it was announced that Markle, along with her husband, Prince Harry, is set to return to the country. Today, a new update on her acting career has been revealed.
As per Variety, Markle is set to make an acting comeback after moving to the U.K. It was reported that she is “offered a role in an upcoming project based in the U.K.” Although sources close to the Sussex couple have not denied it, further details remain under wraps.
Previously, it was reported that Markle and Prince Harry would leave Los Angeles and relocate to the U.K. The Sussexes withdrew from royal duties and moved to California in 2020, and have been living there for the past six years.
Upon their return, they will be non-working royals and private citizens. Moreover, the couple will be accompanied by their children, who have already enrolled in a school in Britain, as per News.com.au.
Projects Meghan Markle has pursued since exiting Hollywood
Before marrying Prince Harry and becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle had a strong background in Hollywood. She is best known for her breakout role as Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits. Markle starred in the show for seven seasons, from 2011 to 2018. After her marriage, she stepped back from acting.
Before Suits, the 45-year-old had also worked on other acting projects. Some of these include Dater’s Handbook Anti-Social, Random Encounters, Horrible Bosses, and Dysfunctional Friends.
Furthermore, Markle was set to make a cameo as herself, alongside Brie Larson and Lily Collins, in the Amazon MGM comedy Close Personal Friends.
She also partnered with Netflix through the couple’s production company, Archewell Productions. Markle was also set to have her cooking show on the platform. However, with their relocation, the deal was restructured, thereby canceling the show.
In 2025, Meghan Markle launched her lifestyle and consumer brand, As Ever. However, the royals do not plan to bring their production banner Archewell or As Ever to the U.K.
