“Harry is not as happy in the U.S. as he is in the U.K.,” a source told Us Weekly. Harry and Meghan are reportedly planning to relocate to Britain for an extended period later this month. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to begin school in the UK in September.
The family does not plan to give up its life in the United States entirely. The couple will reportedly keep their Montecito home while also retaining their vacation property in Portugal.
Instead, Harry and Meghan are expected to establish a separate private residence in Britain. According to the source, “They aim to be somewhere outside of London, not in, like, the city proper.” “They are open to a new chapter,” the insider added.
The couple has also spent considerable time in Portugal this summer, according to the source. Harry reportedly has friends there, while Meghan has developed her own circle among other expatriates.
Their connections have helped the couple build a “community” outside both California and Britain. The Portugal property, therefore, gives Harry and Meghan another European base as they prepare to spend more time in the UK.
