Jason Statham’s Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, which also stars Ryan Reynolds, is set to arrive on Hulu next month. According to Hulu Press, the film will begin streaming on September 14, 2026. David Leitch directed Hobbs & Shaw, a spin-off that serves as the ninth film in the Fast & Furious franchise. It was released in U.S. theaters on August 2, 2019.
The film centers on Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, two characters with a history of conflict. They are forced to cooperate when Brixton Lore becomes a threat to humanity. Lore is a cybernetically enhanced soldier with extraordinary strength and intelligence, as well as a deadly pathogen capable of wiping out half of the world’s population.
With the threat escalating, Hobbs and Shaw have little choice but to work together and stop him before the pathogen can be unleashed. Dwayne Johnson plays Luke Hobbs, while Jason Statham portrays Deckard Shaw. The cast also features Idris Elba as Brixton Lore, Vanessa Kirby as Hattie Shaw, and Eiza González as Margarita, among others.
The film received a mixed response from critics. It has a 67% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 341 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience rating is considerably higher at 88 percent.
Hobbs & Shaw was also a major box-office success. The film earned $760.7 million worldwide against a production budget of $200 million. According to Box Office Mojo, it earned approximately $174 million in domestic theaters and about $586.8 million internationally.
