Sydney Sweeney’s ‘Insane Chemistry’ With A-Lister Makes Boyfriend ‘Uncomfortable’ — Source

Sydney Sweeney is reportedly in no rush to reunite with Glen Powell on screen, despite the success of their hit romantic comedy “Anyone But You.” A source claims Powell remains interested in finding another project with Sweeney, but her relationship with Scooter Braun has reportedly made the actress more cautious about working with Powell again.

Powell and Sweeney became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about pairings after starring together in “Anyone But You” in 2023. The romantic comedy became a major box-office success, earning about $220 million worldwide, according to Variety. The film’s performance put it ahead of several other recent romantic comedies, including “Ticket to Paradise,” starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and “The Lost City,” featuring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

Despite the film’s success, Sweeney and Powell previously decided against making a sequel. According to the source, both actors felt that returning for a second installment could be challenging. “Glen and Sydney decided a couple of years ago that they were not interested in pursuing a sequel,” the source told the National Enquirer, adding that sequels are “extremely difficult to pull off.”

Powell, however, has not given up on the idea of working with Sweeney again. “Glen is persistently and consistently pinging Sydney and her team about finding a different project they could both work on,” the insider said. While Powell remains interested, Sweeney reportedly does not share the same urgency.

The source claims the actress has shown little interest in immediately taking on another project with her former co-star. That hesitation allegedly has something to do with her relationship with Braun. According to the insider, Sweeney’s boyfriend is reportedly “uncomfortable” with how close she became to Powell while filming their romantic comedy. The source described their relationship as “insane chemistry,” which has reportedly contributed to Braun’s concerns about the two actors working together again.
