King Charles Didn’t Do What Princess Diana Did With Their Two Sons — Report

Princess Diana reportedly spent most of her time with her two sons, while King Charles was not always present during their upbringing, according to a source. Diana and Charles welcomed their first son, William Arthur Philip Louis, now known as Prince William, on June 21, 1982. Two years later, on September 15, 1984, they welcomed their second son, Henry Charles Albert David, known as Prince Harry. According to the source, Charles “wasn’t there all the time” while they were raising their children.

Princess Diana’s former guard reveals King Charles wasn’t as present as Princess Diana with their two sons

Princess Diana’s former guard revealed that King Charles didn’t spend as much time with their two sons as Diana did. Charles and Diana tied the knot on July 29, 1981, at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, England. A year later, they welcomed their first son, and two years after that, Diana gave birth to Henry Charles Albert David, who is now known as Prince Harry.

Both William and Harry enjoyed the privileges of being born into the royal family and were always in the spotlight. Ken Wharfe, Diana’s personal protection officer, told The Express that the brothers had an “extraordinary childhood, particularly down at Highgrove.” He also added that they argued a lot during their childhood. At the time, Charles faced a lot of criticism over his parenting. Speaking about this, Wharfe said that Charles wasn’t as involved in his sons’ lives as Diana was, though he admitted that he was a good father.

The former protection officer also said that Charles had a “good sense of humor” and enjoyed spending time with his sons. Apparently, he spent a lot of time with the boys playing polo and enjoying horses, which were among his favorite activities.

Meanwhile, Diana was more into adventurous activities with her sons and would take them climbing trees and go-karting. Even though these activities didn’t fascinate Charles and he rarely indulged in them with his sons, he was still a caring father, according to Wharfe.
