Fast Forever star Vin Diesel has an extremely emotional bond with late friend Paul Walker‘s daughter, Meadow. She’s been close to Diesel’s family for years now and considers him her godfather as well.
Vin Diesel recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of The Fast and the Furious movie in Los Angeles with a special screening. His other cast members were also in attendance, including Walker’s daughter Meadow Rain Walker.
During the event, when Diesel was asked if Meadow would be in the next Fast & Furious movie, the Hollywood star got emotional. He revealed she was the reason for him to attend the screening. “It means everything,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t know if I could have come to the red carpet.”
“She’s the first one to ever call me on Father’s Day. She’s the first one to show up to all the kids’ birthdays,” he added. He called Meadow “a blessing” in his family’s life. “I would die for her.”
Meadow has been featured in the Fast & Furious franchise already. She was seen in a cameo role during 2023’s Fast X.
Vin Diesel is returning as Dominic Toretto in Fast Forever
Speaking more of the Fast & Furious series, it will soon witness another installment. Vin Diesel will make his comeback as Dominic Toretto in the Fast Forever movie.
Last month, the actor even shared a brief glimpse from the upcoming film’s set. “I’m on set. People are grinding. Incredible crews are working,” he said in an Instagram video.
He expressed his gratitude toward the fans who have supported him and the Fast & Furious franchise for more than two decades. “I just wanted to take a second to say thank you. You guys are the best audience in the world, best fans in the world,” he added.
Notably, Fast Forever is set to be the final installment in the iconic, long-running series. Since 2001, all the entries in the franchise have earned a combined worldwide collection of more than $7 billion. That figure makes it one of the most successful action franchises in history.
Fast Forever will hit theaters on March 17, 2028. While the cast is not officially announced yet, old members are expected to return for one last dance. They include Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Jason Statham, and more.
