Macaulay Culkin’s New Deal Has ‘Home Alone’ Fans Asking One Question

Macaulay Culkin has signed with CAA, also known as Creative Artists Agency. The new representation deal comes as speculation continues about whether he could return to the Home Alone franchise.

Entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider shared the news of Culkin’s CAA signing on social media and suggested that a Home Alone announcement might follow. However, his post did not identify a project or provide further details.

“THIS IS IT. DON’T GET SCARED, NOW: Macaulay Culkin has signed with CAA. That HOME ALONE announcement can’t be far off now…” Sneider wrote.

Culkin remains closely associated with Kevin McCallister, the character he played in the first Home Alone movie. He returned for the sequel, and both films have continued to draw significant viewership decades after their releases.

The first film spent more than 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 at the box office. Culkin also received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance. Nielsen reported that Home Alone ranked as the most-watched holiday film across linear and streaming platforms in three of the previous four Decembers.

Outside the franchise, Culkin worked with Home Alone writer John Hughes on Uncle Buck, where he appeared with John Candy. His film work has also included Saved!, Party Monster, The Good Son, and My Girl. Both Saved! and Party Monster premiered at Sundance. Culkin also voiced Cattrick Lynxley in Disney’s Oscar-nominated animated feature Zootopia 2.

His more recent television work has included Amazon’s Fallout. He earned a Critics Choice Super Awards nomination for his villain role in the show’s second season. Culkin also appeared in Season 10 of American Horror Story, Netflix’s Running Point, and HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones.

CAA has recently signed Barry Keoghan, Alicia Keys, and Anthony Ippolito. Culkin also continues to work with Emily Gerson Saines at Untitled and Shelter PR.
