Daniel Hunt joked about not receiving an invitation to the Madison Square Garden celebration
Chiefs co-owner Daniel Hunt quipped that he did not receive an invite to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s star-studded wedding last month. Hunt discussed the matter on CBS News Texas, which shared a clip from the conversation on Instagram.
He joked: “I did not get invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding; apparently I don’t sing well enough to get invited. That’s probably been my second biggest question of the entire summer. ‘Did you get invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce?’”
The reporter then asked, “Have you talked to Travis since the wedding?” To which Hunt replied: “I have not. My brother was there, and I talked to him, and he said, ‘Look, it was really special, and it was really unique.’ And we are all so happy for him.” Notably, his brother, Clark Hunt, attended the ceremony.
Furthermore, the reporter asked what was on everyone’s mind: “When are they going to bring Taylor and Travis to an FC Dallas match?” For those unversed, it is the other team owned by Hunt. The Chiefs co-owner responded: “I’m working on it. It will probably be after Travis here, but they are always welcome down here.”
Previously, Hunt had lavished praise on the Grammy winner’s positive impact on the Chiefs’ popularity. According to Us Weekly, Hunt said: “From the day that she walked into our stadium, it opened up a new fan base force. She has a tremendous global fan base, mostly young women and girls. And so many of them have now embraced the Kansas City Chiefs.”
