According to a viral clip, Brandy entered the kitchen and acknowledged Broner before going on to greet other people. Broner, however, did not take the scant greeting well.
“She just walked past me, but it’s alright,” he said. Brandy immediately turned back and quipped, “I didn’t walk past you. I spoke to you.”
TMZ reports that Broner continued doubling down on the fleeting moment. He assured that everything was fine. However, the atmosphere became more charged as Brandy remarked on the energy in the room. “The energy in here is interesting,” she said. The dispute intensified when DeanTheGreat stepped in to support Brandy, challenging Broner’s treatment of Brandy. “That gotta stop,” Dean told the boxer, as the two went back and forth.
The moment is one in a long phase in Broner and DeanTheGreat’s livestreaming career. The pair spent the year producing lengthy kick streams. Their collaboration has percolated into public confrontations and viral celebrity encounters. Broner has previously been involved with livestream conflicts. This includes a tense interaction with Amber Rose, where Ray J had to step in.
The moment gained more momentum, given that Ray J and Brandy are siblings. The pair have previously shared their family life publicly through the VH1 reality series Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business, which followed their careers and relationship with their parents.
Following the tense greeting moment, Brandy showed no interest in prolonging the dispute and left the room.
