Expert sheds light on Meghan Markle’s vanishing A-list friends amid Prince Harry’s legal loss
The senior royal correspondent for News Nation Now, Bronte Coy, commented on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry losing A-list friends. Coy talked about Beyoncé texting the Duchess of Sussex, as shown in the docuseries “Harry & Meghan.”
The singer sent a heartwarming message to Meghan following her and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. Coy explained how public this early support was, but things have changed now.
For the unversed, Beyoncé reportedly tried to quietly distance herself from Meghan to keep her personal circle small. “The group of people she [Beyoncé] trusts and spends time with is deliberately small,” an insider told OK! Magazine.
The person continued. “It is not something that changes often or easily.” Moreover, an entertainment industry insider explained how Meghan’s efforts to be closer to Beyoncé’s circle were observed as “desperate.”
Coy told news.com.au that this year had no birthday tributes for Meghan from A-listers. “Either they’re not publicizing it anymore,” she said. The reporter also felt that maybe “people aren’t sending those messages anymore.” Coy added, “When they left, it was with such fanfare.” However, “now, over the years, it has been hard because, obviously, the shine has come off the brand.”
Additionally, Coy addressed Harry’s “crushing court defeat” against the publisher of the Daily Mail, Associated Newspapers. The publisher has allegedly demanded an interim payment of roughly £10 million. “They’re very big numbers we’re talking about now,” Coy noted. She added, “ANL is going for the jugular.”
There are doubts about whether insurance will lessen the damage after Gavin Burrows recanted on the stand. As such, there is a potential shortfall of tens of millions. Coy wondered whether the Sussexes can afford this, as no one knows “what income they have.” The reporter said, “We don’t actually know exactly how much they’ve made over the years.”
