The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon mocked Karoline Leavitt’s upcoming exit from the White House. During his Wednesday, Aug. 12 monologue, the television host suggested that the White House press secretary already has another job waiting for her. And, according to Fallon, it might be a much “easier job” at Taylor Farms.

The joke came just hours after President Donald Trump announced that Leavitt would leave her White House role at the end of August so she can spend more time with her family.
However, Fallon first brought up a recent security incident involving Trump and his staff.
According to The Washington Post, Trump was secretly moved to a smaller military aircraft during a security scare after the NATO summit in Turkey in July. He was reportedly transferred using a catering truck because of an Iranian missile threat. Meanwhile, more than 100 White House staffers and reporters stayed aboard the main Air Force One. The plane reportedly served as a decoy flight. That meant Leavitt was among the staffers who were left behind.
Fallon said, “That story again, Karoline Leavitt was definitely one of the staffers left on Air Force One.” He added, “It’s like, ‘Oh, really? You didn’t take me?’” Then came the punchline as he joked, “Yeah, apparently, she’s moving on to an easier job working as the press secretary for Taylor Farms lettuce.” The audience appeared to enjoy the joke. In fact, Fallon briefly broke character and laughed after the crowd loudly cheered at the news of Leavitt’s resignation.
Meanwhile, Fallon has mocked Leavitt before as well. In June, The Tonight Show featured comedian Rose Kelso in a sketch parodying the press secretary. In that sketch, the fictionalized Leavitt was asked to defend Trump after he abruptly ended a Meet the Press interview. So, for Fallon, Leavitt has clearly remained an easy target for late-night comedy.
