Donald Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio seems to have picked up a beef with one of Pete Hegseth‘s cats. In a recent interview with Kate Miller, the White House official opened up about how the US Secretary of War’s feline has been a headache for him, going as far as to describe the pet as “arrogant.”
Marco Rubio says Pete Hegseth’s cat keeps occupying his porch and refuses to be intimidated
Marco Rubio recently made an appearance on the Kate Miller podcast. He detailed his scuffle with Pete Hegseth’s cat, who resides nearby on a military base in the Washington, DC area.
“I never took Pete for a cat guy,” said the Secretary of State. Rubio, along with his wife Jeanette, lives with a pair of goldendoodles.
“I’ll get home at night, and the cat is just sitting on my porch and just looks at me,” added Marco Rubio before stating that Pete Hegseth’s cat also has an “attitude.”
He continued, “The cat is a very arrogant cat. It doesn’t even – usually, a cat, you approach it, and it takes off. This one does not take off running. I don’t even know the name of this cat.”
However, the ordeal with Pete Hegseth’s cat may have commenced due to one of Marco Rubio’s canines’ familiarity with the Secretary of War’s residence. “We have one that’s really smart,” Rubio noted. “Knows how to open the door. So one day, I think Pete and his family were just sitting around watching television, and they keep their front door open because they have cats.”
“My dog just walked into their living room and looked around, realized I’m in the wrong house, and turned around and walked out,” he added.
In addition to detailing his feud in the interview, Marco Rubio also touched on other topics. This includes UFOs, his aversion to the MAHA diet, and a ‘deadly’ but funny incident with a White House executive.
