Donald Trump’s White House Parodies Nicole Kidman’s Iconic AMC Ad in MAGA Video

The White House has released a MAGA-themed parody of Nicole Kidman’s famous AMC Theatres ad. The video uses generative AI to transform the cinema chain’s beloved pre-show commercial into a political celebration of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Nicole Kidman’s AMC ad just got a very unexpected MAGA makeover

The original AMC ad, which plays before screenings across the United States, features Kidman walking through a movie theatre while reflecting on the magic of cinema. The White House version replaces that cinematic wonder with political messaging, complete with a “Make America Great Again” hat and an orchestral score identical to the one used by AMC.

Where Kidman’s commercial declares “We come to this place for magic,” the White House narrator states, “We come to this place for MAGA.” The script continues to mirror the original, describing “the indescribable feeling we get when we hear the national anthem” before the scene shifts. A man wanders into the White House, passing a painting of Trump raising his fist following the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The White House parody then ends with a video projected on a small screen, showing Donald Trump signing executive orders, addressing rallies, and standing alongside world leaders. The narrator drives the message home, stating that under this administration, “we’re going somewhere we’ve never been. We aren’t just watching history; we’re making it.” The voiceover continues with lines about rebuilding the country and concludes with a declaration: “A country where we don’t do heartbreak — we do victory.”

In a seemingly direct lift of the AMC Theatres branding, the video closes with a title card that reads “MAGA: Welcome to the Golden Age,” mirroring the cinema chain’s familiar logo design. Additionally, the timing of the parody coincides with box office resurgence. AMC Theatres generated its highest revenue in the company’s 106-year history last weekend, driven by major releases including Spider-Man 4 and The Odyssey.

Nicole Kidman, AMC Theatres, and screenwriter Billy Ray, who wrote the original ad, have not yet commented (via Variety).
