Reports claim King Charles favored his younger son, Prince Harry, and betrayed the trust of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth. According to comedian Mark Dolan, Charles’ recent decision to host the Sussexes in a private meeting could have a direct impact on his older son, Prince William, and his children.
Comedian Mark Dolan says King Charles let Prince Harry betray Queen Elizabeth
Comedian Mark Dolan has predicted that King Charles’ recent private meeting could compromise William’s future. The English presenter discussed this on The Royalist. Tom Sykes alleged that King Charles is allowing Harry to betray Queen Elizabeth’s 2020 stepping-down agreement.
Sykes commented: “I think that my concern is that Charles is enabling Harry to establish a rival court in a complete defiance of what his mother, in her wisdom, laid down.” Queen Elizabeth made it clear that if the Sussexes left Britain, the royal family would not allow them to serve as working royals.
Dolan agreed, stating that Harry, in essence, is “tearing up his agreement with the late Queen” by meeting his father on royal property. The comedian remarked: “It’s horrible that the Queen, the late Queen, is being betrayed in this way by a grandson that claims to have loved her and admired her. Where you struck a deal, and you’ve reneged on that deal, and that poor woman is not here to enforce it. And if she was, I think she would enforce it, and she’d be a lot tougher than Charles has been.”
Furthermore, Dolan argued that Harry’s potential return to his home country could cause issues for his brother, the future King. The 52-year-old commented: “You’re going to have Meghan and Harry, will make life a misery for King William and Queen Catherine. And they’d love to be in the U.K., I think up to half of the year with this rival court, and then it’s going to carry on into the next generation.”
Moreover, Dolan offered Charles a solution to resolve the matter: “scale back the whole royal operation” and modernize the monarchy.
