Dylan Mulvaney Shares Defiant Response After Donald Trump’s Latest Public Remarks

Dylan Mulvaney responded after Donald Trump mentioned her during his White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech. The president referenced Mulvaney four times during the rescheduled event. She later shared a defiant response addressing his remarks and their broader implications.

Dylan Mulvaney responded after Donald Trump’s ignorant speech

Trump mentioned Mulvaney while discussing journalist Kaitlan Collins during the dinner. “I thought Kaitlan had really made it big with a major new sponsorship, but then I informed her that it wasn’t her on the Bud Light can, it was Dylan Mulvaney,” he said, via People. Trump claimed. “That was the worst commercial ever made by the way, for those few people who want to hear that. Most people don’t care, but I would. I wouldn’t want to hire Dylan any time soon.”

Mulvaney responded on social media by congratulating Collins on receiving an award for her journalism. She said, “I’m incredibly honoured to be compared to her in any way.” Mulvaney also praised the reporter for continuing her work.

The actress then addressed Trump’s decision to reference the three-year-old advertisement. She noted that she had recently maintained a relatively low profile, “just doing my little musicals, singing, dancing,” while continuing her career.

Mulvaney questioned why Trump and his administration continued discussing her years later. She suggested that public criticism from the administration represented an unexpected compliment. The performer connected the remarks to her own experiences with rejection and personal freedom.

She argued that criticism from Trump’s administration placed her alongside people she considers brilliant and empathetic. “Maybe being publicly mocked and criticised by this administration is actually the greatest compliment of all,” she said.

Mulvaney then questioned why some people seemingly oppose her success. “What is it that I have that they don’t? Oh my god, freedom,” she said. She emphasised that she would continue pursuing her career despite political criticism. Her response reflected her determination to remain visible and advocate for greater acceptance.

The actress also encouraged her followers to support transgender and nonbinary people. Her comments came after she achieved several professional milestones. Earlier this year, Mulvaney made her Broadway debut in SIX and performed at the Tony Awards.
