King Charles and Prince William reportedly have ‘eternal battles’
According to sources who spoke to Page Six, the strained family dynamic extends beyond Prince Harry. Insiders report that King Charles and Prince William are navigating a relationship driven more by friction than by unity.
“The problem with William is that he thinks he knows best,” royal biographer Hugo Vickers told the outlet. Royal writer Robert Jobson also weighed in, saying, “There have been differences of opinion and a few problems a couple of years back. William has to rise above it all if he’s going to be king, and both he and Charles know they have to work together. There’s a lot of decisions that Charles will make that will affect William.”
Despite the so-called “eternal battles,” sources noted that the father-son duo is on courteous terms as Prince William readies himself for the throne. “They meet regularly and they converse, there is no major problem,” Jobson added.
Additionally, royal expert Russell Myers has explored their changing dynamic in the new biography, “William and Catherine: The Monarchy’s New Era: The Inside Story.”

But his ties with the Prince of Wales have deepened through family challenges and external battles.
