King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton could be facing fresh pressure behind palace doors. An insider told Heat Magazine that Charles wants William and Middleton to begin letting go of the long-running family feud after what he reportedly saw as an encouraging gesture from Harry.
The source claimed Harry caught the King’s attention during a recent visit to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. While speaking to a young football fan, the Duke casually referred to William as “my brother” while discussing Aston Villa. Although the comment seemed brief, the insider alleged Charles saw much more in it.
According to the source, the King viewed the remark as an “olive branch.” Harry also recently shared a childhood memory of Princess Diana embracing both him and William after difficult days during an appearance on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast. The insider claimed those moments gave Charles hope that Harry is ready to move forward.
That is perhaps why Charles is turning his attention to William and Middleton. Per the insider, the King believes the family has spent enough time apart. “Charles just isn’t prepared to accept” that his sons may never rebuild their relationship, the source claimed.
