The actress gave an update on the situation and added information about her relocation to Tennessee. Storms said she believes the situation will get resolved soon. She has also urged people to respect her family’s privacy during this difficult time.

On July 19, Storms talked about the situation in an Instagram post. There is an ongoing disagreement with Barash that the ex-couple hopes to resolve, she said. She added, “I would appreciate (and encourage) for people on here not to worry about me.” Storms explained that the matter involves two divorced parents who are in disagreement.
Storms and Barash married in 2013 and divorced in 2016. The former couple has a 12-year-old daughter, Harper Rose. Both actors later relocated to Tennessee alone. Storms told fans to keep in mind that they are a divorced couple with a child, and asked for them to refrain from posting about it online.
Barash filed an emergency restraining order against Storms in December 2025, court documents PEOPLE obtained in April. The documents said that Barash had made allegations about Storms’ mental health and parenting situation. According to PEOPLE, Storms is on supervised visitation with his daughter. Storms has denied that the situation should become a subject of public speculation.
Storms also addressed the custody issue in June and stated that she felt it had been misinterpreted. She expressed gratitude to fans for their support and said she felt the issue would be addressed appropriately.
The actress also said she felt confident about her decision to move to Tennessee. “LA never felt like my real home,” Storms wrote in her recent post.
