Taylor Swift‘s brother, Austin Swift, reportedly attended her wedding to Travis Kelce alone. He wasn’t joined by Sydney Ness, whom he has been romantically linked to since 2022. Kelce and Swift tied the knot on July 3 in a huge ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Austin Swift remains single despite his sister’s attempts to set him up, sources suggest
Taylor Swift reportedly didn’t have any A-list bridesmaids or her best friend at the altar but only her brother Austin, who was her “man of honor.” A source shared with the Daily Mail, “She asked Austin in person, and it turned into a very emotional moment for both of them. Taylor made sure he knew just how much she appreciates everything he’s done over the years, especially knowing that many people view him as living in her shadow.”
However, Austin didn’t attend the lavish ceremony with a plus one, despite being previously linked to Sydney Ness. The insider mentioned that Austin is currently single and isn’t dating anyone at present. They claimed that her sister, Taylor, had tried to set him up in the past. “She wants to see him settled down and in love. Especially now that she is,” they added.
Several outlets claim that Austin and Ness broke up recently after being romantically linked since 2022. Throughout their relationship, they have been extremely private; therefore, not much is known about their bond or first meeting. However, they have appeared publicly quiet sometimes, especially during Chiefs games.
Swift has given a shoutout to her brother a handful of times in her music. For instance, on her recent album The Life of a Showgirl, released in August 2025, the same month she got engaged, one of the songs references him. In the track Opalite, she sings, “I had a bad habit / Of missing lovers past. My brother used to call it / Eating out of the trash / It’s never gonna last.”
