Morris shared her message on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, July 14. She wrote, “If you are a fan of my boyfriend: Yay! Please stop messaging my family members. They are so confused. Write in your diary and then go on a walk instead! Love u.” In another Story, she shared a meme that read, “I can excuse racism, but I draw line at dming my distant cousins.”
This is not Morris’ first time addressing fan behavior since Belmont Cameli gained attention through Off Campus. She previously joked about internet rumors that surfaced in May claiming she was strict with Cameli during his romantic scenes with co-star Ella Bright. A TikTok video falsely alleged that Morris wanted more supervision during intimate scenes and restricted certain types of filming. Morris laughed off those claims by writing, “Strictly business,” alongside photos she shared on Instagram.
The Prime Video series, based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling books, follows college hockey players and their relationships. Season 1 focuses on Garrett, played by Cameli, and Hannah, played by Ella Bright. Some fans hoped the actors would date in real life because of their on-screen chemistry.
