Biden released a video message on his social media accounts on July 15. He shared an update on his health for the first time in months. The former president also announced his memoir, titled Promise Me, America.
“I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family,” Biden said. He added, “I’m dealing with a cancer diagnosis, have been getting treatment, and it’s going really well.” He also thanked his supporters for their encouragement.

The memoir will be released on November 17. According to the publisher, Little, Brown and Company, the book reflects on Biden’s presidency. It covers the major decisions he made during his time in office. Biden also discusses his faith in America’s future.
The book explores several defining moments of his administration, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the Afghanistan withdrawal, NATO, Ukraine, and the January 6 Capitol attack. It also addresses Biden’s decision regarding the 2024 presidential election.
