Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s anticipated return to the UK continues to draw attention, with fresh reports claiming the visit has prompted concern behind palace walls. While Harry is already in Britain, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are still expected to join him for the upcoming Invictus Games events.
Kate Middleton’s biggest concern is Meghan Markle repeating herself, claims source
According to an insider, Kate Middleton is less concerned about Meghan Markle returning to Britain than about the possibility of renewed access to private royal family interactions. “Kate’s biggest concern isn’t Meghan coming back to Britain, it’s what comes with it,” the insider claimed. “Kate worries about history repeating itself once they’re back inside Palace walls and privy to private moments. It’s dangerous, because she feels the Sussexes could worm their way back into the family.”
The source claimed that the Princess of Wales remains cautious because past private family disagreements later became public. The source added that she wants to prevent the same thing from happening again. Relations between Prince Harry, Meghan, and the royal family have remained strained since the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
The family rift grew after the Sussexes’ 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, their 2022 docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” and Harry’s 2023 memoir, “Spare,” all of which discussed family relationships. During the interview, Meghan said that Catherine made her cry during a disagreement over bridesmaid dresses before their 2018 wedding, not the other way around.
The latest report claims Kate believes there are still unresolved matters that make her cautious about renewed family contact during the Sussexes’ visit. “Kate feels they’ve paid a very high price over the last few years—she’s cautious about the Sussexes having access again when there are still unresolved issues,” the person said. “She feels she could be walking into a trap—the timing couldn’t be more delicate.”
