Prince Harry’s reaction to King Charles’ offer of royal lodging has reportedly brought the monarch to his breaking point. According to a recent report, the Duke of Sussex initially denied his father’s offer to provide him with accommodation on palace grounds. Allegedly, he later requested rooms without sufficient notice, which has allegedly bothered the king. Harry arrived in the UK on Monday without his wife, Meghan Markle, and his two children.
Palace frustration with Prince Harry is showing no signs of stopping
Prince Harry and King Charles were supposed to reconcile during the youngest son’s UK trip. However, when he arrived on July 6, he reportedly requested royal lodging without prior notice. According to a Daily Mail report, King Charles had allegedly offered to arrange Harry’s stay at Buckingham Palace, even though it wasn’t quite ready for visitors.
It was reported that the existing staffing arrangement was changed according to the “Spare” author’s needs. They were said to be on standby. But Harry allegedly didn’t give a nod at the beginning and asked for rooms at the last moment.
According to the report, Harry had again turned down his father’s offer on Saturday morning. But hours later, the duke reportedly requested rooms when he would arrive in the UK. However, this time, the king seemed to have reached his breaking point. Reportedly, he firmly said, “No. Sorry but you are late.”
Allegedly, 48 hours’ notice was not enough to arrange royal accommodation. Additionally, the report claimed that Charles felt that his son’s behavior resulted in “disruptions and disrespect” to his staff. Moreover, frustration was said to be “emanating” from the Palace due to Harry’s inconsistent decisions about staying at his father’s palace.
The Duke was reportedly going to arrive in the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their kids. But he ultimately traveled solo, allegedly because of security concerns.
