Emily Ratajkowski shared a revealing new look at the final days of her marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard. The model said becoming a mother changed everything, and the couple’s relationship reportedly unraveled long before they officially split.
The actress reflected on motherhood, heartbreak, and starting over in a new personal essay. Her comments also resurfaced allegations surrounding her ex-husband that emerged after their marriage ended.

According to The Cut, Emily said welcoming son Sylvester in March 2021 marked “a violent transition into a new reality of screaming baby on my aching tit and ring on my swollen finger.”
She revealed that the change extended to her marriage.
“Six months after my son was born, my husband and I stopped having sex,” Emily wrote in The Cut. “Less than a year later, we separated.”
Emily and Sebastian married in 2018 before separating in 2022. She filed for divorce that September.
Following the split, Page Six reported that sources alleged Sebastian had repeatedly cheated during the marriage. “He’s a serial cheater. It’s gross. He’s a dog,” one insider claimed. RadarOnline similarly reported that an insider alleged the filmmaker had cheated “numerous times.” Sebastian has not publicly addressed those allegations.
Emily admitted that the divorce also changed how people saw her. According to The Cut, she disliked being viewed with pity and hated feeling like “someone who was unwanted, who had been left.”
She also reflected on her dating life after the breakup. Emily wrote that before marrying Sebastian, she had never had a one-night stand and had only slept with eight men, including four live-in boyfriends.
After the divorce, however, she decided to reinvent herself.
“I decided to f–k my way into a new kind of woman,” she wrote in The Cut, explaining she wanted to shed the “good girl” image she had carried for years.
According to RadarOnline, Emily described dating a wide range of men, including a vegan graffiti artist, a DJ, a chef, a billionaire’s son, and a Spanish Gen-Z man. She ultimately concluded that the hookups weren’t fulfilling. Instead, she realized “being alone was better than most partnerships.”
Separately, Sebastian was accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior involving underage girls in a 2023 Variety investigation. Through a spokesperson, he declined to comment on those allegations.
