Taylor Swift’s Wedding Had Just 150 Seats for Nearly 1,000 Guests — Source

A reported seating shortage is becoming the latest talking point surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding. According to new claims, the ceremony allegedly featured only around 150 official seats despite welcoming nearly 1,000 guests. One insider suggested those seats were reserved for close family members and friends. Meanwhile, hundreds of other attendees are said to have watched the ceremony standing.

Taylor Swift’s wedding had seats reserved only for the close ones, claims source

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding may have welcomed an extensive list of celebrity guests. However, only a select few were reportedly given seats during the ceremony. An insider alleged that although close to 1,000 people attended the celebration, there were only about 150 official seats available. Those chairs, the source claimed, had been set aside exclusively for the couple’s closest family members and friends.

That allegedly left hundreds of guests standing. According to the insider, several attendees attempted to claim empty seats before the ceremony began. Some are said to have placed jackets over chairs in the hope of reserving them for later. However, the strategy reportedly didn’t work.

“People were trying to reserve seats by throwing their jackets over them,” the source told the Daily Mail. They further alleged that event staff stepped in and asked guests to move because the seats had already been assigned to members of Swift and Kelce’s inner circle.

As a result, around 800 guests seemingly remained on their feet throughout the ceremony. The speculated seating arrangement has surprised fans, especially given Swift’s previously stated plans for a large celebration. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show last year, the singer explained that she wanted a huge wedding because she didn’t want to agonize over narrowing down the guest list. She even joked that “anyone that I’ve ever talked to” would be invited.

According to reports, that vision resulted in a guest list packed with stars from music, Hollywood, and the sports world. While many well-known names allegedly made the invitation list, the latest claims suggest that being invited didn’t necessarily guarantee a seat.
