The official synopsis for The Furious reads, “After the daughter of Wang Wei (Xie Miao) is kidnapped by a criminal network and he receives no help from the corrupt police, Wei sets out on a rampage to find her himself. Currently, it holds a stupendous Tomatometer score of 98% and a phenomenal Popcornmeter score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Interestingly, it drew lots of parallels with previously acclaimed action films such as Keanu Reeves’ John Wick and Gareth Evans’ The Raid: Redemption.
