Ex-Prince Andrew Is Back in Public for the First Time Since Arrest

Former Prince Andrew has returned to public view for the first time since his arrest. He is the second son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip and the younger brother of King Charles III. Currently residing at nearby Marsh Farm, the former working royal is under an active police investigation.

Ex-Prince Andrew steps out for rare public outing

Last weekend, Ex-Prince Andrew stepped out from Marsh Farm for an uncommon public outing in support of his family. The Sun stated the former Duke of York was accompanied by two other royals on Sunday, June 28. It was his first formal public appearance since he was arrested in February on the day he turned 66.

The scandal-hit prince has kept a low profile since he stepped back from public duties. He was stripped of his military titles and forced to vacate his Royal Lodge residence in 2025 amid scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew is the first senior royal to face arrest in almost 400 years and is also entangled in an active police inquiry.

In a rare outing, however, he showed up to support his sister-in-law Sophie. She was competing as the Duchess of Edinburgh at the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials on King Charles’s property. Also in attendance was Andrew’s younger brother, Prince Edward, as Sophie finished the SanDrivingHam Challenge. But no photos showed the two brothers together.

“Andrew sneaked in and sneaked out and definitely didn’t want to be seen,” an insider revealed to the outlet. The Sun further reported that the former Prince watched the Duchess compete that morning from a more private area off to the side. Photographs captured him driving off quickly in his Land Rover Defender once her event ended.

“But I saw Andrew leave the field at 10:30am, just after Sophie had ridden her round, then I saw Edward walking towards his car smiling shortly afterwards,” shared a witness.

The Daily Mail earlier reported that the couple visited Prince Andrew at Easter to check on him. They were the first royals to look in on him after his move to Norfolk.
