King Charles Might Receive a Peace Offering from Meghan Markle — Source

Meghan Markle is reportedly planning to give King Charles a peace offering, according to a new report. This comes as attention swirls around the former and Prince Harry‘s planned yet allegedly uncertain visit to the United Kingdom.

Meghan Markle might gift King Charles a jar of jam

Markle plans to give King Charles, with whom she and Prince Harry have had tensions for the last few years, a special peace offering gift as she hopes to visit the United Kingdom.

Rob Shuter reported on his Substack, Naughty But Nice, citing sources, that the “Suits” alumna planned to gift the British monarch a selection of products from her lifestyle brand, As Ever, originally launched as American Riviera Orchard before its rebranding in 2025. The curated items include her “signature jams and reserves.”

A source stressed that Markle knew of the king’s love for “gardening, organic produce, and homemade foods.” They continued, “She believes the jams are thoughtful because they’re something she created herself. She wants the gift to feel personal, not extravagant.”

However, Markle has been promoting her brand on social media through specific videos highlighting fruit baskets, tea, and new products. This has raised suspicion amid speculation surrounding her first UK visit in years. A royal insider noted, “That’s the dilemma with Meghan. Is it a heartfelt peace offering or brilliant brand marketing? With her, those two things often happen at the same time.”

Despite this, sources close to the Duchess of Sussex argued that she had no personal agenda behind the peace offering, even though palace insiders remained skeptical. One source even suggested that she did not expect King Charles to post about the jam on Instagram. They added, “She simply wants to arrive with something warm and homemade instead of an expensive royal-style gift.”

Recently, a shroud of uncertainty fell over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans to visit the United Kingdom. Reports suggested that the former started reconsidering bringing the latter and his children, Archie and Lillibet, along with him, to the UK. This was after his formal request for police security was supposedly turned down.

However, Shuter reported, citing insiders, that although Harry cited security concerns, it was only “part of the equation” surrounding the problem. Furthermore, sources suggested that Harry already knew he wouldn’t receive automatic police protection when first planning the trip.
