Brad Pitt & Ex Angelina Jolie’s Winery Legal Battle Gets Major Update

Brad Pitt reportedly scored a major win against ex-wife Angelina Jolie in their ongoing Château Miraval legal fight. New court documents obtained by PEOPLE reveal that the court has shown its support for Pitt. It has ordered members of the Stoli Group to testify about the sale. Notably, the ex-couple has been embroiled in a bitter legal battle over Jolie’s sale of her portion of the French winery to the Stoli Group.

Brad Pitt reportedly secured victory over his former wife, Angelina Jolie, in the Château Miraval legal dispute. As per an exclusive report by PEOPLE on June 17, the Superior Court of California has approved Pitt’s legal team’s request that key members of the Stoli Group testify. The F1 actor has argued that members of the Stoli Group possess first-hand information about Jolie’s sale of her share in the French winery to Tenute del Mondo, the Stoli Group’s wine division.

Previously, Pitt’s legal team filed court documents in an attempt to get the Stoli Group’s Alexey Oliynik to testify in June 2025. However, Oliynik reportedly repeatedly refused to provide the documents or testify, citing that he is a resident of Switzerland.

The Stoli Group is run by Yuri Shefler. He is a Russian expatriate billionaire who also lives in Switzerland. As per court documents, back during their legal battle in 2023, Pitt sued Jolie over the sale of her share to Shefler’s “Russia-affiliated spirits conglomerate.”

Pitt’s team cast serious doubts on the Stoli Group’s reputation due to political conflicts. As per court documents, The Moneyball star’s legal team alleged that Jolie’s sale “jeopardizes the reputation of the business that Pitt so carefully built.”

Now, as per the new update, Oliynik and key representatives from Tenute del Mondo and Nouvel LLC have to legally testify in London by September 30. Pitt’s team believes that Oliynik and key members from Tenute del Mondo may have relevant information regarding Jolie’s sale of her share of the winery.

Furthermore, a lawyer for Jolie shared that the actress sold her share of the French winery for the former couple’s children’s benefit.
