Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is drawing excitement from those closest to them. Now, Travis’ father, Ed Kelce, has shared his feelings as anticipation builds around the ceremony. The couple’s wedding is reportedly expected this summer, and family members are beginning to speak more openly about the milestone.

Ed Kelce made his comments while attending Jason Kelce’s Team 62 Fundraiser in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, on June 24. The event supports the Eagles Autism Foundation, but the conversation soon turned to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s upcoming wedding.
Speaking to Fox 29 Philly, Ed did not hide his enthusiasm. “I am super excited,” he said when asked about the wedding. He also praised Swift personally, calling her “a sweetheart” and adding, “That is truly the girl next door.”
The wedding news comes nearly a year after Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025. The couple first confirmed their relationship publicly in October 2023 and have remained one of the most talked-about celebrity pairs since. When they revealed their engagement on Instagram, Swift jokingly captioned the post, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
In the weeks leading up to the reported summer ceremony, Travis has also been celebrating with bachelor party activities. Reports say the festivities included visits to The Bird Streets Club, a Chris Lake concert, Barney’s Beanery, a NASCAR event at Naval Base Coronado, and a golf simulator outing.
Ed is not the only person looking forward to the wedding. San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle recently told PEOPLE that he appreciated Swift spending time at Tight End University despite being so close to the wedding date.
“She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding,” Kittle said. He also joked to Extra TV that, although the couple requested no gifts, he might still buy Travis an old coin because of his interest in collecting them.
