David Beckham’s Father’s Day Message Was Olive Branch to Estranged Son Brooklyn — Source

The Father’s Day post by Sir David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, which supposedly left their eldest son upset, was perhaps an olive branch. Notably, he had reportedly told his parents not to tag him on social media posts, which they have repeatedly ignored.

David Beckham shared a Father’s Day post that has been interpreted as an olive branch to Brooklyn amid ongoing family tension.

Former England captain David shared throwback pictures of all four children on Instagram. In a carousel post showing children, including Brooklyn Beckham, he penned an emotional message.

He wrote, “Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you, mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family? Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.

However, reports emerged soon after the post that Brooklyn simply wants to be left alone by his family.

Parenting campaigner at Parenting Out Loud, Elliott Rae, says the post reflects an ordinary dilemma many dads face with their children. When navigating a challenging relationship with his eldest son, David reflects on happy memories with the family.

The dadfluencer from Watford says, “I saw it as an olive branch. Whatever is going on between us, you’re still my son. It happens in families, but you’re still my child, and I want to love you.” Being a father of two daughters himself, Rae says, looking back at memories of children is something that every parent can understand.

He further says, “It would be weird to post pictures of all his kids and not Brooklyn, so he couldn’t win either way.” He explains that many people post pictures of their dads who have passed away to reminisce about the past.

The Father’s Day post by the Beckhams has sparked an online discussion after reports claim Brooklyn was unhappy. Neither David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, nor Brooklyn Beckham addressed the rumours publicly.
