According to RadarOnline.com, William and Kate Middleton were caught off guard by reports that Harry and Meghan have been discussing another fly-on-the-wall production. Sources claimed the possibility of cameras following the couple during a UK visit has not been welcomed by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The reported project would focus largely on the couple’s charitable efforts and Harry’s involvement with the Invictus Games. However, insiders said palace figures believe any documentary would inevitably include personal aspects of Harry and Meghan’s lives. According to the report, William and Kate believed the chapter of highly publicized behind-the-scenes royal content had largely ended after the Sussexes’ previous projects.
One source claimed William sees the situation as more than a simple television project. “William views it as a personal attack,” the insider said. The source added that William believed Harry and Meghan had chosen to build a life independent of the monarchy, but now feels they are entering territory “traditionally occupied by the monarchy.”
The report also stated that Kate struggles to understand why the Sussexes would pursue another documentary venture after years of public interviews, books, and streaming projects. According to the insider, her reaction was essentially, “How could they do this all over again?”
The timing is notable because Harry and Meghan’s exclusive Netflix agreement reportedly ended in 2025. They still maintain a first-look arrangement, allowing potential projects to be pitched to the streaming platform first.
