Donald Trump’s recent UFC Freedom 250 event may have impressed many, but certainly not Jimmy Kimmel, who instead likened the program to the January 6 storming of the White House. In his latest monologue, the veteran late-night talk show host mocked Trump for organizing a 4,000-plus guest event at the presidential residence to celebrate his birthday, berating him for splurging so much money on the occasion.
Jimmy Kimmel makes fun of Donald Trump’s UFC event
Recently, on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the titular host ridiculed the UFC Freedom 250 event by calling it “Donald Trump’s big, violent birthday party.”
Jimmy Kimmel sarcastically noted on the June 16 episode that the event had “so much elegance, so much sophistication, so much class. Last night, Trump turned the White House into a Waffle House.”
“I would also add that Trump knocked down the East Wing of the White House and wants a billion dollars because he needs to have a safe place to throw parties,” Kimmel continued. “Meanwhile, no problem throwing a giant 80th birthday cage match on the front lawn of the White House. UFC Freedom 250 had all the refinement and prestige as a Hooters at the Vatican.”
The 58-year-old comedian then highlighted how the event prompted participating UFC fighters and their teams to use “every room” of the White House. “They had fighters warming up in the Diplomatic Reception Room, they had a guy in the Cabinet Room, they had fighters in the Roosevelt Room, they had a guy in the Oval Office…and finally they had an event right out there on the Truman Balcony…What a night, like a mini January 6.”
Notably, on January 6, 2021, a group of Donald Trump supporters stormed into the United States Capitol in Washington DC to oppose Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election. While the insurrection failed to accomplish its original purpose, it ultimately resulted in civil unrest, multiple casualties, and massive property damage.
