Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s Netflix AI movie has expanded its cast with a popular MCU actress. She joins Toni Collette and two more stars for the upcoming film, which also features Anne Hathaway. Notably, Hathaway has already worked with Gordon-Levitt in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Who has been cast in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s AI movie?

Alfre Woodard, known for her roles in Marvel series Luke Cage and 2016’s blockbuster MCU movie Captain America: Civil War, has joined Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s AI movie, reports Deadline.

Woodard is also known for her work in The Boroughs, in which she portrays Judy Daniels, a retired journalist living in a retirement community. The actress has also appeared in The Last Frontier, Summer Camp, and more. Joining Woodard are acclaimed actress Toni Collette (Hereditary), Chloe Coleman (Big Little Lies), and Sagar Radia (Industry) have also joined the upcoming AI movie.

Collette was recently seen in projects such as last year’s sci-fi movie Mickey 17 and TV series Wayward, where she played Evelyn Wade, the head teacher at Tall Pines Academy. She was also seen in 2024’s thriller drama Juror #2.

Coleman was recently featured in 2024’s My Spy: The Eternal City, among other titles. Radia recently appeared in the TV series An t-Eilean and the 2026 series BAIT.

The untitled AI movie for Netflix was originally announced in late 2024. Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman are serving as producers on the project. The screenplay was written by Gordon-Levitt, who is also directing, in collaboration with Kieran Fitzgerald. The exact details on the plot are still under wraps at the moment.

Gordon-Levitt has recently appeared in several projects, including 2024’s comedy-crime movie Greedy People and mystery-crime film Killer Heat, where he played a private detective named Nick Bali. In 2025, he appeared in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, Paradise Records, and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

Speaking more of the actor’s Netflix AI movie, it has yet to receive an official release date window.
