Erika Kirk responds to heckler at TPUSA event
Erika Kirk recently got heckled while making a speech at an event by her organization, Turning Point USA.
According to a report by US Weekly, Kirk was addressing the crowd at the women’s leadership conference when the incident happened. A video of the incident is also circulating on the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), in which the heckler screamed, “Erika Kirk protects pedophiles! Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!”
While Kirk appeared saddened by the heckling, shouts erupted in the center, prompting Turning Point USA CEO to say, “It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes, and I pray that you find it.” While some members of the crowd showed love for Kirk, she again took shots at the heckler, seemingly calling her an “enemy.” She added, “That’s an important moment because that just showed duty to faithfulness gives life meaning, and we must pray for our enemies and those who do not feel like their lives have meaning, and that’s a perfect example of that. You pray for your enemies, you pray for those who persecute you. That’s not the enemy; we know who the real enemy is. God bless you, thank you.”
Kirk reportedly spoke for around 17 minutes and charged the attendees between $50 and $300. Moreover, she denounced feminism and urged the women in the crowd to uphold the values of family and marriage. She claimed that these values are “god’s design” for women. The CEO also stated that the aforementioned are “divine gifts” for women to embrace.
